This control fits Mercury and Mariner outboards (with integral trim) and 40hp Force outboards (1993 and newer) using Mercury/Quicksilver style cables with power trim. It features a traditional lock bar control release mechanism activated by lifting upward on the red colored lock bar button in the handle. Panel mount controls expose only the throttle and shift lever with the lanyard stop switch mounted bezel keeping the cable mechanism hidden behind the boat side wall.

PANEL MOUNT REMOTE CONTROL-GEN II- LOCK BAR


The Panel Mount control features a chrome handle and comes with a 4ft. (1.22 m)
trim and trailer switch harness with the 4 pin molex connector. All installations
require a separate Ignition/Choke assembly and T/S cables to complete the
installation. The neutral safety switch leads are 6.5 ft. (1.98 m) and have a bullet
connector on the ends. The lanyard switch leads also have bullet style connector
ends. Must use Gen II Throttle/Shift cables. (897978A__)
The power trim extension harness also needs to be ordered separately:
(84-817659T01 & 84-881125A1 = 4 pin Molex to traditional Mercury 3 blade P/T
connector)
(84-865772T01 & 84-865772T02 = 4 pin Molex to the Packard 3 pin P/T
connector)
Fits all current MCM and Mercury/Mariner 3.4L outboards with external trim
cylinders.

The same switch also raises the drive for trailering. The control comes with a 4 ft. long trim connecting harness fitted with 3-pin Molex connector. Installations of this control require a separate ignition switch. This control uses Mercury Gen II throttle and shift cables.
